Who was Arnold Newman? What did he do? Who was he known as?

Arnold Newman was an American photographer who was known for his environmental portraits. He photographed such celebrities as Marlene Dietrich, John F. Kennedy, Harry S. Truman, Piet Mondrian, Pablo Picasso, Arthur Miller, Marilyn Monroe, Ronald Reagan, Mickey Mantle and Audrey Hepburn.
He was often credited with being the first environmental photographer, as he placed the subject in a carefully controlled setting which portrayed their life and work.
He was known as one of the 'Masters of Photography'.
